A lock can almost immediately be linked to the need for privacy.
However, the main idea that we wanted to portray through this photograph is the uncertainty that some people may feel when approached by a preacher. Uncertainty arises in some individuals when they are approached by a person who tries to impose their ideas on them. More often than not people are quite open to new concepts and are willing to listen to different viewpoints; although sometimes it is hard to let someone in and have them share their ideas with you if they try to change your views.
Life is full of options and decisions. Being able to make your own decisions and expressing your opinions is why freedom is so valuable.
Every one of us as individuals has a certain set of ideas, some better than others but all significant. Abandoning ones believes is like abandoning oneself that is why we carry them on and express them to others. Expressing our ideas is important but it is also necessary to respect the perspective other people have on life, and to try not to impose one’s own believes on others.
Our title was the result of finding strong words that are stated in the Constitution. The Constitution states that we have the right to freedom of speech, but it also declares that as an individual you have the right to your own privacy. To us, the word expression means no limitations. It gives the person expressing the freedom to say what they please. The word invasion was chosen to convey a feeling of violation. It means that the person clearly feels uncomfortable with what is being done to them. Both of these words show why this issue is so important to us as students on a college campus.
